If you are using WordPress for your blog, and having problems with comment spam:
- Login to your WordPress admin area, and go to SETTINGS» DISCUSSION, and edit the settings for post comments. You can turn comments off completely, you can make all comments need approval to be posted, or you can make only certain comments be auto-approved!
- If doing the above isn’t enough and you still need more spam prevention, go to Akismet and sign up for a FREE Akismet key. Then, come back to your WordPress admin area, go to PLUGINS and enable the Akismet plugin. When it asks you for your Akismet key, copy and paste the key into the form and SAVE it. Adjust the rest of the Akismet settings to your liking.
