In other words, if the theme you want to use for your gallery doesn’t specifically say that it has been UPDATED for the new version of Coppermine, DON’T USE IT, or you risk suddenly crashing your entire photo gallery WITHOUT WARNING! Same thing goes for the Stramm Mod or any other Coppermine mods or plugins!

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BACKUP ALL FILES AND DATABASES IN YOUR GALLERY BEFORE APPLYING ANY MODS OR UPDATES JUST IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG!!! If you don’t listen, and you mess your gallery up, you’ll have to re-install Coppermine from scratch and re-upload all your photos yourself.

I cannot host absolute beginners, because I can’t teach you how to do everything. I don’t have the time. If you are not honest about your qualifications on your hosting application, you may lose your site. Some of you are claiming to know a lot, but you are doing things that give you away as not really knowing anything. If I find out that this is the case, you may lose your site here. You are jeopardizing the safety of the server by doing these things.

And pretending to be someone else that you aren’t is also a good way to lose your FanStar.org hosted site. No more games, people. Stop being dishonest on your hosting application!

From what I gather, all of these Hostees have had their e-mail addresses listed on their sites at one time or another, so it wouldn’t have been too difficult for someone to just go there, copy their e-mail address, and add it to a FanFusion mailing list, or any other mailing list, for that matter. FanStar.org Hostees: if you have your e-mail address listed on your site, PLEASE REMOVE IT and replace it with a secure mail form. Please go into your mail program and set up a rule to BAN all e-mails originating from the FanFusion.org domain or just mark each e-mail you receive as SPAM. If you are receiving FanFusion SPAM comments on your blogs, add FanFusion’s e-mail address(es) to your BLACKLIST or you can just mark their comments as SPAM. You can also BLOCK FanFusion from your Twitter profile. If you are still receiving SPAM from FanFusion after that, contact me for more help.

I am going to handle the FanFusion SPAM problem here at FanStar.org, but I seriously suggest that EVERY FANSITE HOSTING COMPANY send a memo to their Hostees, and ask them if they’ve been receiving FanFusion SPAM. I’m sure that they have hit every hosting company online.

NOTE: Don’t delete the SPAM that you receive from FanFusion.org before you let me know about it! I want to know about every piece of SPAM they send to you! Thank you, FanStar.org Hostees!

When they updated their Coppermine installations to the LATEST STABLE RELEASE and applied the STRAMM MOD to their galleries, their galleries “broke”. I can only assume that the mod and the new update are not compatible, because the problems didn’t occur until the mod + the update was installed together, but I’m not really sure what the problem is.

So, until I find out some more information about this issue, like why it’s happening, I would advise you to hold off on doing anything to your galleries. If you decide to chance it anyway, please remember to backup all of your FILES and DATABASES, so just in case anything goes wrong, you can restore the old stuff back to your site again.

Don’t count on me to be able to restore your site from backups, because I have no guarantee that I can do that.

If you have received OR if you ever receive FanFusion.org SPAM at either your TWITTER PROFILE OR your E-MAIL ADDRESS while you are hosted here at FanStar.org FREE Fansite Hosting, please FORWARD the e-mail to me ASAP – but NOT if it contains any ATTACHMENTS! If it contains any ATTACHMENTS, don’t even open it! Just let me know that you’ve received it, and I will handle it from there.

If you want them to contact you, that’s your business, but if you don’t want them to contact you, that’s MY BUSINESS. It’s time to put an end to this mess.

I have gotten several complaints from several of my Hostees here @ FanStar.org because of your people CONSTANTLY SPAMMING them with repeated requests sent to them to follow FanFusion on Twitter and/or to check out FanFusions adoptable domains, etc…

The LAST time you were spamming my Hostees with UNWANTED E-MAILS, I blasted you right here in my blog for the whole world to see. I thought that would’ve been enough to convince you that it wasn’t worth risking shame and humiliation to mess with me, but I was wrong. I guess that there is no low to which you are not willing to stoop to achieve your goal, which is to put me out of business.

So, to that end, I am putting you on notice, FanFusion: STAY AWAY FROM MY DOMAIN OR I WILL PUT THE SMACKDOWN ON YOU SO HARD, YOU’LL BE HEARING BELLS WHEN I’M DONE WITH YOU. I’m done playing around with you creeps. NO means NO!
