FanStar.org’s Terms of Service (TOS):

This document has been edited so that it’s shorter and easier for people to read and understand. Here are the 8 MAIN RULES to follow when you are a FanStar.org Hostee:

1. All FanStar.org Hostees must put a link back to FanStar.org on either the FOOTER or the SIDEBAR of every section of their FanStar.org Hosted site. This includes: blogs, photo galleries, portfolios, media vaults, forums, etc.
2. All FanStar.org Hostees must put an Ad Code either ABOVE or BELOW their header image in every section of their FanStar.org Hosted site. This includes: blogs, photo galleries, portfolios, media vaults, forums, etc. You may customize your Ad Code to match your site’s colors, but you may NOT change the size of the Ad or use an unauthorized Ad Code (one that I didn’t give you)!
3. Don’t put ANY links to any other HOSTING or DOMAIN companies (especially FanFusion!) on your FanStar.org Hosted site FOR ANY REASON!!!
4. Once you get accepted as a FanStar.org Hostee, you have 2 weeks to get your site up and running. If you need more time, you’ll have to contact me and let me know.
5. Don’t do anything on your FanStar.org Hosted site that is ILLEGAL OR anything that you were not authorized by ME to do. This includes: pornography, obscene photos and/or language, racist or homophobic (hateful) content, hacking or warez, spamming, illegal media downloads, selling items in a store, non-authorized affiliate links, soliciting money from visitors (PayPal Donations are okay), etc.
6. Don’t just disappear and/or suddenly stop updating your FanStar.org Hosted site without letting both ME and YOUR VISITORS know what is going on. That is totally rude! If you have to be offline for whatever reason, you should ALWAYS leave a post for your visitors to let them know when you’ll be back AND let me know, too, so I won’t think that you just up and left without a word. If there’s no new news to report, then just post and say that there is no new news to report, that’s all.
7. Don’t do things that are UNSAFE! Here are some examples of what NOT to do on your FanStar.org Hosted site: Don’t use passwords that are real easy to remember! If your passwords are easy for you to remember, they are probably easy for hackers to guess also, so you are making it easier for them to hack you! Do not use UNSAFE SCRIPTS like CUTENEWS on your site!!!!! That program has a very lonnnnnnng history of security problems! Do NOT install it on your site!!! Do NOT ever CHMOD any file to 777, I don’t care what the script says!!! Do NOT give your login information to ANYONE, I don’t care who asks for it!!! Do NOT leave your indexes empty and exposed!!!
8. You are not allowed to use your FanStar.org Hosted site as a PORTAL, meaning, you have everything stored on ANOTHER SERVER, and you only have a empty/fake front page here!
