I have decided to change the Free Domains adoption process, because I keep adopting domains out to people who don’t actually do anything with the domains. The domains often just sit there and the sites never get built, so I will be screening people more thoroughly before I allow domains to be adopted from FanStar.org. We currently have a bunch of Free Domains available for adoption, but I will only be adopting those domains out to experienced people who already know how to build and maintain a website. zendayadaily.com had been adopted by Jackie on 12/19/2011, but she never built and opened the site, so I am putting zendayadaily.com back up for adoption again. If you want to adopt zendayadaily.com, please apply BEFORE 1/28/2012 or this domain will expire and will not be renewed. If you adopt it, it will be renewed. Even after my recent revamping of our Hosting Application in a attempt to make it as easy as possible for all applicants to understand, I am still getting incorrectly filled-out applications for Free Domains, so I feel the need to clarify FanStar.org’s position on Free Domains once again:
- FanStar.org will provide Free Domains (of your choice .com/.net/.org) for established sites only.
- To qualify for a Free Domain, you must already have a site that has a HQ design, full content and a history of regular updates hosted on a Subdomain either here or at another host.
- FanStar.org will only provide a Free Domain for your established site and not for any other site.
- If you do NOT meet our qualifications for a Free Domain, you may apply for a Free Subdomain.
- Do NOT apply for a Free Domain unless you have a site that meets our qualifications.
- Do NOT “apply” for anything on our Contact Form. You must fill out an application.
- You can’t ADOPT a Domain that I do not already own. If it’s not on the list, forget it.
- Adopting a Free Domain that I already own and getting a Free Domain of your choice are two different things. Do NOT ask to ADOPT a Domain that I do NOT own already!
